Vermeer Painting After Effects, Maya, mental ray, ZBrush, October 2008
A Maya poject designed to be to test my modelling and lighting skills, the natural choice here was to model a Vermeer painting and try and replicate the subtleties of the light he used in his work
I deliberately avoided using FG and GI as I wanted to push my knowledge of lighting by just using spot lights
Also used Zbrush and Shave and Haircut, then composited in After Effects as this image is one frame from a fly through of the painting
